Other educational activity

The international networking with various universities abroad (e.g. Sweden, Great Britain, Germany)

is also helping to carry out developing of education since arrangement of e.g. student and researcher exchange gives good personal contacts with leading institutes in the field. When visiting international universities and research institutes, it is also extremely good way to learn about different education cultures and see examples that also help me personally develop my way to teach.

At the moment, there is plan also to start international co-operation in field of additive manufacturing (aka 3D printing). It is obvious that as this technology is under great expectations also education is coming more and more important. Developing such international education motivates me to develop as teacher and think more about my way to educate. My aim to graduate in December 2015 as vocational teacher (60 ECTS) at Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK) supports this.

Activity in university pedagogics

During my whole teaching history, I have tried actively to improve the educational material and activities in different courses. But a "final call" to really understand importance of pedagogics, I got in course of "University pedagogics" (25 ECTS) which was held 2013-2014. I have realized that I have to pay a lot of attention to pedagogics and try to develop myself as teacher. 

I have also start my studies at Häme University of Applied Sciences to graduate in December 2015 as vocational teacher (60 ECTS). I believe that constant learning and updating of pedagogics, its application to my work as university teacher and active participation to education development are resulting good quality courses for students and also modern way of teaching really to become as part of my teacher practices.

The material of courses is typically build in co-operation with the researchers of research group and is based on the current valid available literature and the experimental results of the research group.
